Rookie Rugby PK3/PK4 (Friday)

Description

The Village School is offering Rookie Rugby this semester. The focus will be on the free-flowing, non-contact version of the sport, and will be open on Fridays to PK3/PK4 students. Absolutely no experience is required as instruction will develop skills for both novices and those already involved the sport. Safety in rugby is the top priority in all variations of the sport, and Rookie Rugby is no exception. Players and parents can expect a safe environment in which to explore the game and develop a passion for the sport. World Rugby’s 6 core values are emphasized (integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship) along with an additional item at Rookie Rugby, friendship. Respect for teammates, opposition, officials, and coaches is expected at all times. The instruction team will be led by Katy Barbarian’s Varsity coach and TRRA referee Paul Graham, along with other USA Rugby qualified staff. Space is limited to keep groups small for high levels of participation and individual attention. Register early! For more details on the USAR Rookie Rugby program visit http://www.rookierugby.com/
